A Practice Built Around Considered Work

Synthorix was established in Dubai to serve owners and leadership teams who prefer deliberate engagement over rapid-cycle consulting.

How Synthorix Came to Be

Synthorix was founded in Dubai in 2019 by a small group of advisors who had worked for some years within larger consulting firms and had grown concerned about a pattern: clients were receiving structured frameworks and dense slide decks, but often leaving engagements without the clarity they had come for.

The founding team decided to work differently. Fewer clients at a time. Engagements scoped carefully. Deliverables written clearly enough to be read again six months later. The firm began with one advisor and two clients. It has grown carefully since then.

Today, Synthorix operates from Business Bay, Dubai, and serves a small number of firms across the UAE each year. Most of our clients are owner-managed businesses at a stage of development where considered input can make a genuine difference to how decisions are approached.

"To support owners and leaders in thinking more clearly about what their firms need — at each stage, and without unnecessary pressure."

How We Conduct Our Work

The standards that govern Synthorix engagements are not promotional statements. They describe how we actually work.

Confidentiality

All client information is treated as commercially sensitive. Engagement letters include a confidentiality clause as standard. We do not reference client work without explicit written consent.

Written Scope

Every engagement begins with a written scope document. Both parties agree on deliverables, timeline, and fee before any work commences. Scope changes require written agreement.

Senior Delivery

The advisor named at the outset delivers the engagement. No work is handed to junior members without prior agreement. This is not always convenient for us — but it is the right approach.

Fee Transparency

Fees are stated in AED and are fixed at the time of scope agreement. There are no variable billing rates, no retainer creep, and no charges for standard communication during an engagement.

Client-Led Pace

We do not press clients to move faster than they are ready. If the firm needs more time between steps, the engagement adapts. The timeline in the scope document is a plan, not a deadline to enforce.

Data Handling

Financial records and operational documents shared with us are handled in accordance with UAE data regulations. We use secure file transfer for sensitive materials and do not retain documents beyond the engagement period.

Advisory Work in the UAE Business Environment

The UAE — and Dubai in particular — has developed a diverse business environment over the past two decades. Owner-managed firms operate alongside large multinationals, free zone entities, and family-owned groups. The regulatory context, commercial culture, and pace of change differ from many other markets. Advisory work conducted here needs to account for these realities.

Synthorix advisors have worked within this environment long enough to understand where the standard consulting playbook does not transfer well. Investment readiness, for instance, looks different when the prospective investor is a regional family office rather than a venture fund. Process documentation matters differently when a firm is preparing to hire in a multilingual environment.

Our engagements are shaped by these contextual differences. We do not offer packaged solutions adapted from other markets. We work from what the firm actually is, operating where it actually is.

  • Candour

We say what we observe, even when the observation is not what the client hoped to hear. This is the basis of useful advisory work.

  • Patience

Good decisions are not always fast ones. We create space for consideration rather than pressing for a particular outcome.

  • Restraint

We take on work we believe we can do well. We do not expand scope beyond what is genuinely useful to the firm.

Would You Like to Discuss Your Situation?

We are glad to speak without commitment. An initial conversation helps us understand whether one of our engagements is a sensible fit for where your firm currently stands.
