What Working with Synthorix Actually Means
The qualities that distinguish our practice from others offering advisory services in Dubai — stated plainly, without overstatement.
BACK TO HOMESix Qualities That Shape Our Work
These are not aspirational statements. They describe how Synthorix engagements actually run.
Expertise Carried by the Advisor
Advisory work delivered by experienced practitioners, not passed to less experienced staff. The person you meet at scoping is the person who conducts the engagement.
Written Outputs as Standard
Each engagement produces written material — a readiness commentary, a process manual, or session summaries. The value of the engagement does not disappear when the meeting ends.
Fixed, Transparent Fees
Fees are agreed in AED before work begins and do not change unless the scope changes — and scope changes require written agreement from both parties.
Pace Set by the Client
We adjust to your schedule rather than pressing you to move faster than is comfortable. Good advisory work cannot be hurried without losing something.
Commercial Discretion
Client information is treated as commercially sensitive throughout the engagement and after it concludes. We do not use client names in our marketing without written permission.
UAE Market Grounding
Our advisors understand the UAE business environment and the regulatory, cultural, and commercial factors that affect how firms here operate. Advisory framing is always contextually appropriate.
A Closer Look at Each Advantage
Years in the Advisory Field
Our principal advisors have worked in professional advisory roles for between eight and fourteen years, primarily within the UAE and the wider Gulf region. This is not consulting delivered by recent graduates applying frameworks from textbooks. The advisors have sat in the room when investment decisions were made, when process failures created operational crises, and when leadership teams lost their way mid-year and needed to find it again.
- Direct experience of UAE investment, operational, and leadership contexts
- Familiarity with the commercial environment in Dubai's free zone and mainland structures
- Advisors who have managed their own advisory practices, not only worked within them
Structured, Legible Engagements
Each engagement type has a clear structure: a scoping conversation, a written scope document, defined work phases, and specific deliverables. Clients know what will happen, in what order, and what they will have at the end. There are no ambiguous "ongoing advisory" arrangements that are hard to evaluate or close.
- Written engagement letter before work begins
- Defined deliverables agreed at outset
- Clear criteria for when the engagement is complete
Direct Access to Advisors
Communications during an engagement go directly to the advisor conducting the work. There is no account management layer, no ticket queue, no intake process. If you have a question, you reach the person who is doing the work. This matters — particularly in the later stages of an engagement, when decisions depend on shared context that has built up over weeks.
- Direct communication with the assigned advisor throughout
- Response to queries within one working day as standard
- No handoffs to other team members without agreement
Pricing That Reflects Scope
Our engagement fees reflect the scope of work actually involved — not the size of the client's business. A smaller firm undertaking a Pre-Investment Diagnostic pays the same as a larger one, because the work is the same. Fees are set in AED, disclosed in full before the engagement begins, and do not increase during the engagement unless scope changes are agreed in writing.
- Pre-Investment Diagnostic — 3,150 AED
- Operating Manual Drafting — 2,650 AED
- Quarterly Reflection Sessions — 1,450 AED per year
Tangible Outcomes, Not Reports
Each engagement concludes with a concrete deliverable that the client can use independently of us. A readiness commentary that an owner can take into investor conversations. A process manual that new hires can be trained from. Written session summaries that the leadership team can return to when priorities shift. The work is designed to be useful after we have left, not only during the engagement.
- Written deliverables that remain useful beyond the engagement period
- Outcomes described in plain language, without jargon
- Findings documented so they are not lost when the meetings end
Synthorix Compared with Typical Advisory Arrangements
Without naming specific firms, these are the differences we observe most consistently between how we work and how advisory engagements tend to run elsewhere.
| FEATURE | TYPICAL ADVISORY FIRMS | SYNTHORIX |
|---|---|---|
| Who delivers the work | Often passed to junior staff after scoping | Named advisor delivers throughout |
| Fee structure | Variable rates, retainers, scope additions | Fixed fee agreed before work begins |
| Engagement deliverable | Presentations and recommendations | Written documents you can use independently |
| Pace of work | Driven by the firm's billing cycle | Adjusted to the client's own readiness |
| Client confidentiality | Often used as case studies without notice | Never referenced without written consent |
| UAE market understanding | Templates adapted from other markets | Work shaped around UAE commercial context |
What Is Not Commonly Found Elsewhere
Engagements Designed to End
Each of our three engagements has a defined scope and a clear conclusion. We do not run open-ended retainer arrangements where the firm is unsure what it is paying for month after month. When the engagement is complete, it is genuinely complete.
No Minimum Client Size
We work with businesses of different scales — from a sole founder preparing for a first outside investor, to a leadership team of eight reviewing their year. Our fees reflect the scope of the work, not the revenue of the client firm.
Honest Assessment at Scoping
If the initial conversation suggests that a particular engagement would not be genuinely useful for the firm at this stage, we say so. We do not take on every enquiry. This means that when we do agree to proceed, both parties have a clear basis for the work.
Arabic and English Working Capability
Our advisory team can conduct engagements in both Arabic and English, and can produce written deliverables in either language according to the client's preference. This matters when the operating manual, for instance, needs to be readable by staff who work primarily in Arabic.

These Qualities Are Best Judged in Conversation
An initial conversation about your firm's situation is the most direct way to understand whether Synthorix is a suitable fit for what you need.
